Ninja Warrior proved to be an absolute hit with Australian audiences earlier this year and as a result, it’s been renewed for a second season.
And now, it’s only about to get better! Well, according to host Rebecca Maddern, the standards of the upcoming contestants and the TV show has been upped as more money is being thrown at the series.
Speaking to Confidential, the 40-year-old said: “People have been training specifically for the Ninja course, so despite the rigorous audition process the standard has improved.”
When asked if she’s anticipated about the show’s success, the host admitted she wasn’t surprised!
“Australians love sport and this TV show created a new sport.”
Indeed they do, back in July, the hit show launched to 1.68 million viewers and followed it up in the second week with 1,570,000 viewers tuning in.
The show included celebrity stars like Tim Robards and Beau Rayn.
While there is no word yet about when the series kicks off again, we’re sure fans will be eager to tune in again.
In the meantime, here is a look back at former NRL player Ryan’s time on the show!
