Being the fourth year in a row of the duo at the helm, Ricki-Lee tells WHO she’s still got a whole lot of love for her co-host and said he had “audacity” for being so “gorgeous”.

What did Ricki-Lee say about her co-host Scott Tweedie?

“I love him like a brother,” she told WHO. “We’re both Queensland bogans. He’s a Brisbane bogan, I’m a Gold Coast girl, so we just have so much fun.”

“And also, stop being so gorgeous! The audacity for Scott Tweedie to turn up on set and not have to do three hours of hair and makeup to look like that.”

She certainly wasn’t shy about gushing over the former Prank Patrol host and joked about Channel Seven launching a show for him.

“My main goal in life is to find Scott Tweedie a wife because he is a wonderful human. Channel Seven, if you’re listening – ‘Scotty Wants a Wife’ would make a wonderful series.”

“He grew up with sisters, so he knows how to treat and speak to a woman. He’s just a good man, and I really love him. He’s like a Labrador – everybody loves Labradors, everybody loves Tweedie. He’s just gorgeous.”

What did Ricki-Lee say about the Australian Idol judges?

There’s a mix of personalities on the series, with Kyle Sandilands, Marcia Hines and Amy Shark at the judges table. Somehow though, it just works, with Ricki-Lee telling us they get on “amazingly, like a house on fire.”

“It sounds corny, but we are like a little family. Scott is our little brother. I’m the bossy eldest sibling,” she says. “Amy and I have been friends since we were in school. We go back 20-plus years. We’ve known each other forever. I love her.”

Marcia was also a judge on the season that Ricki-Lee was on as a contestant, where the now popstar ended up placing seventh.

“Marcia was on my season of Idol. We just clicked so well. When I was on the show, she went out of her way to pull me aside backstage before a show and give me a little note or say, ‘Hey girlfriend, maybe go and speak to wardrobe and get them to fix this up,’ if there was something she knew I might be uncomfortable with on stage.”

“She taught me how to walk on stage in heels. Marcia Hines taught me how to walk in a heel. Iconic. She’s been my girl for 20-plus years.”

As for Kyle, the two have been friends for a while, both hailing, as well as Tweedie, from Queensland.

“Kyle is a great friend and a wonderful human. I love him deeply. He’s been an amazing supporter.”

“What I really respect is that he puts his neck on the line and backs people. He really believes in people and will support you to the death. People have lots of things to say about Kyle, but I have nothing but love for him.”

“Behind closed doors, he’s one of my favourite people. On set, I always go straight to see him because we just laugh. He’s another Queenslander, he’s got a filthy sense of humour, and we just rip back and forth and have the best time. I love any time I get to spend with Kyle.”
