According to PEOPLE, the loved up couple wed in Florida, with the ceremony taking place at the Historic Walton House in Homestead. While hundreds attended their pre-wedding celebrations, only 40 of the couple’s closest friends and family were invited to their big day.
As expected, her Riverdale co-stars Skeet Ulrich and Drew Ray Tanner were in attendance along with her bestie Madelaine Petsch who was part of Vanessa’s Bridal Party.
“Guests were greeted by chatty tropical birds, roaming oyster shuckers and botanical cocktails as they delved into the vast gardens,” an insider told PEOPLE of the afterparty.
Speaking about their magical day, the bride— who wore a one-of-a-kind beaded white dress— told E! News: “We both knew the first day we met that ‘this is it’ and I’m so excited that today officially starts our forever. Today, I vowed to love my best friend for a lifetime and it was a day spent with those we love in a room filled with endless love. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with him.”
The couple also paid tribute to the late Luke Perry— who Vanessa starred alongside in the hit teen series— with a candle and glass sign that read: “This candle burns in loving memory of those who are not here today, but are forever present in our hearts. Loved but never forgotten.”
Michael, the White Sox pitcher, popped the question on July 4 under a picturesque waterfall in Arizona. Taking to Instagram to share the heartfelt news, Morgan wrote: “So I’ll start with the obvious: I love you. I love you intensely, passionately, & also at times, recklessly. I make decisions on the spur of the moment (i mean look at how our relationship has gone up to this point.
“I’m a very non traditional type of person and I know I’ve found my match in you when it comes to that especially. Our relationship probably doesn’t make sense to many people for a s— ton of reasons, but we’re not doing it for them. We know this is forever. Why would we wait? lol,” he continued.
Vanessa was far more low key, simply sharing a gorgeous photo of the couple which showcased her diamond ring.
