Reynolds opened up about his marriage in a new interview with GQ magazine he shared the exact moment he realised he has fallen in love with his wife Blake Lively.
The Deadpool star was asked when he knew Lively was “it”, he joked, “Probably after the sex.”
Following his deadpanning, Reynolds said: “We were hanging out at this little restaurant in Tribeca that’s open really late, and this song came on and I was just like, ‘Want to dance?’ No one was in there, so it was just totally empty. And it was just one of those moments where halfway through the dance, it was like, ‘Oh, I think I just crossed a line.’ And then I walked her home. And, uh, you know, I don’t really need to go into what happened after that. And now we know. It’s even better than we thought.”
Reynolds’ interview with the publication took place before a proud Lively, 29, took to Instagram to share a sweet birthday message to her husband on his 40th birthday.
“We fell in love at your restaurant in Boston. We stay in love at your restaurant in NY. Thank you for the BEST food and memories! You are our FAVOURITE!!” she wrote as she reminisced on the same happy moments she’s experienced. “Another happy birthday with @vancityreynolds . Hey, Reynolds, I like you a wh❤️le lot. Just sayin’…😍” Lively ended the sweet note.
Prior to the birth of his second child, Reynolds told GQ just how excited he was to be “on the precipice of having a real American family” with wife Blake Lively.
The two have been married since 2012.
