Sam Frost revealed on her 2dayfm breakfast radio show on July 11 that she suffered suicidal thoughts after relentless online bullying.
The former Bachelor and Bachelorette star turned radio host, 27, opened up about her “dark” personal struggles, saying she stopped wanting to leave her home and even told her boyfriend, Sasha Mielczarek, “I don’t want to be here anymore. I don’t want to wake up every day anymore.”
“I was in a really, really dark place,” she told her co-host, Rove McManus. “I shut my friends out, I shut my family out and I would go home from work and stay in that dark, horrible place.”
She also revealed she is seeking therapy following the harsh comments from trolls, who she says made up fake accounts to construct lies about her during her recent trip to Bali.
It comes after an emotional July 4 Twitter post from Frost, who said she was being “heavily trolled” and that it was taking a toll on her.
“To the fake accounts heavily trolling me online and into my personal life. If you wanted to break me… Congratulations you have won #broken,” she wrote with a broken heart emoticon.
It is not the first time Frost has been the victim of online bullying.
Earlier this year in response to online bullying, she penned an open letter to trolls.
“I don’t think people really understand the impact of it. Young kids and people, including myself get bullied on a daily basis,” she said.
“For just one moment, think about what it would be like if a bully never left you alone. This bully came into your home, this bully was relentless, on your Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. This bully was with you 24 hours a day.”
She then expressed the detrimental impact of bullying, saying it can “have an eternal effect on the person they’re directed at.”
“You could ruin their day, their week and even their life,” she concluded.
