The couple, who met on season three of The Bachelor, posted photos of them excitedly receiving their vaccinations on Tuesday.

But it didn’t take long for anti-vaxxers to sound off in the personal trainer’s comments.

“I’m disappointed in you both to be honest. Thought you were above the virtue signalling,” one follower remarked.

“So sad to see this,” wrote another, while a third person commented: “Who cares, it’s a bit personal we don’t need to know unless there is another agenda for you sharing?”

Sam defended him and Snezana’s decision to get vaccinated, saying he was saddened by some of his followers’ judgments.

“Reading through these comments (never the healthiest thing to do) but WOW,” he wrote.

“People are so angry, so opinionated, so quick to judge, so nasty to each other. It is really sad. This is our choice. It doesn’t have to be yours.”

Sam also denied bizarre claims he was paid by the government to promote the vaccine.

“We think it’s the right thing to do for us, for our family and to help protect others. We got guidance from our long term GP that we trust and we did it,” he said.

“We want to see our extended families, we want to reopen our business, we want to get back to a life without feeling trapped.”

The former Bachelor and Snezana are currently hunkered down in their Melbourne home with their two toddles Willow and Charlie, and Snez’s daughter from a previous marriage, Eve, amid the city’s sixth lockdown.

Last month Sam admitted the bright side to home isolation is being able to spend quality time with his family.

“No doubt these lockdowns are testing even the most positive and resilient of people,” Sam wrote.

One step forward and two steps back, feeling trapped and not being able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. F**k, can’t even find the tunnel!”

“But trying to stay strong for myself, strong for my family and find the silver linings like my 3 girls spending time together as before we know it Eve will be all grown up and it will be gone.”
