Two men were arrested after Samuel Johnson’s Silver Logie was stolen from a Melbourne pub.
The award was on display to raise money for Samuel and sister Connie’s charity ‘Love Your Sister’.
“He [the Logie] was at the bar one minute, next minute he was gone. We made a few phone calls and he turned up at the police station safe and sound,” pub owner Richard Kruk told 9NEWS.
“You always think it’s a joke and so many people have come in and tried to take photos and did the whole ‘I’m going to take off with it’, and I think at the time the bar staff thought it was a joke as well.”
Police said the thieves threw the Logie into bushes at a golf course near the pub, it was then taken to a local police station and two men were arrested.
The Molly actor did not want to pursue any charges against them.
The Silver Logie is back at the pub and will now be protected by more security.
“Sam is a good mate of mine and I’ve known him for a few years and it’s helping to raise funds for his lovely sister,” Kruk said.
