While most other guests were tucking into their first course, there was one guest in the Crown Palladium who had very different things on her mind.

Sarah Harris posted a sweet shot of her facetiming her young son, Paul, from her Logies table, straight to her Instagram page. “Face-timing my main man from the Logies table,” she wrote to her 45,000 fans.

Little Paul is now 17 months, and although Sarah admits he doesn’t say much more than ‘Hello’ and ‘Tata’, there is one new word he recently learnt.

“You know what he did say? He doesn’t even say ‘Mum’ yet, but yesterday, he was trying to do something on the remote control, and he said, ‘Oh shit.’” Sarah laughs.
“I went, ‘Oh. My. God!’ We know we have to zip it now.”

Sarah, who was nominated for Best Presenter, admits she had a few Logies nerves ahead of walking the red carpet. “I find the red carpet really overwhelming. But I am excited – and I’m just trying to enjoy the moment, and not get too nervous about it,” she said.

Thankfully, Sarah and the Studio 10 crew don’t have to rush back to Sydney the next day, with their show filming from The Project studios the next day.

And it was a night alone in her hotel that Sarah says she was equally excited about.
“It’s going to be fantastic,” she laughed, on the red carpet. “I am going to order room service! And I ordered breakfast to the room this morning! I just kicked around in my bathrobe – it was fabulous.”
