It’s fair to say, what you see is what you get with Spin King Shane Warne – except, that is, when it comes to his youthful appearance.

The 51-year-old keeps notoriously tight-lipped (pardon the pun) around the topic of cosmetic enhancements and credits his baby smooth skin to good genes and a healthy diet.
However, in a recent Instagram post fans couldn’t help but point out that the Aussie cricket legend seems to be ageing backwards.
“Great fun shooting for #BBL #supercoach today in the green tracky! It will be game on in the @foxcricket comm box again this year !!!!! Bring it 😂😂😂 he captioned the smiley selfie while enjoying the views of Sydney Harbour.
“Good photo skills those 😉,” one wrote.
“There’s only one King Kohli whether your leather face likes it or not.”
In an interview on Triple M’s Hot Breakfast in 2019, Shane slammed speculation that he’d gone under the knife.
“I had people ringing me up saying, ‘Warnie’s had his head done, he’s had plastic surgery, he’s looking like Paul Hogan,” host Eddie Maguire kicked off the conversation.
Shane explained he’d simply been trying “traditional Chinese medicine” and training hard at the gym.
“I’ve dropped 14 kilos, I’m trying to lose another three or four more to get down to 80kg but I haven’t had any work done to my head.”
“I haven’t had, whatever they call it, fillers, injections and all that sort of stuff!”
This isn’t the first time Warnie has clapped back at these claims.
Back in 2015, the dad-of-three shared a photo of himself with former Neighbours star Nicky Whelan and the questions over his “full-looking lips” came in thick and fast.
“What happened to your face Shane,” one follower asked.
A second added: “OMG Shane what the hell have you done to yourself. A bit too much Botox.”
A third weighed in with: “Back off on the surgery Warnie — starting to look like NY cat lady.”
Shane responded to the comments, writing: “Hahahah, you Muppets, it’s called filters! Way too easy to wind people up … Hahahah x”
“Ps Those filters you used on our pics last night are the best @nickywhelanx hahaha Xxx,” he continued.
Shane quickly followed this up with a photo that highlighted his wrinkles:
“Poker face ready for #WSOP main event !!! #Dafabet day #shanewarne.com1B no awesome filters @nickywhelanx Hahahah #wrinkles #twodifferentcolouredeyes hahah,” he wrote.
While the rest of his famous family have largely stayed out of the spotlight, Shane’s son Jackson recently shot to fame when he appeared in the reality TV series SAS: Australia.
“I want him to be really proud of me,” the 21-year-old said of their relationship in a promo for the show.
“I’m not just Shane Warne’s son, I’m tougher than that.”
A chip off the old block, doting dad Shane frequently comments on Jackson’s fit physique on Instagram.
“Love this,” he wrote recently, adding that he was “proud.”
While the pair do look similar, it turns out Shane didn’t pass down his passion for the pitch.
In a previous interview with The Herald Sun, he explained: “I never pushed Jackson into cricket… He played it for a year, took a hat-trick – took four wickets in five balls – bowling a little bit of leg-spin or with the seam, smashed a few with the bat. Still, the game “didn’t really grab him.”
