Sharon Osbourne has revealed Mel B had a ‘black eye and bruising everywhere’ after returning to The X Factor in 2014.

Speaking on The Talk in the U.S., Sharon revealed that the former Spice Girl was in a cycle of physical and mental abuse for 10 years.

‘It was everywhere, especially three years ago, in the final two days of X Factor, she didn’t make the first day and she was in the hospital,’ said Sharon.

‘And it was reported in all the papers that said “allegedly” she’s been beaten by her husband. And she came back for the final day and she had a black eye and bruising everywhere, but she made the final.’

‘This has been brewing and people talking for a very, very long time,’ the 64-year-old said, before adding: ‘You know what, she’s a good girl. She’s a great mother. She works her bum off.’

After 10 years of marriage, Mel, 41, filed for divorce from Stephen Belafonte in April and was granted a restraining order against Stephen.

Court documents reveal accusations by Mel that include claims her estranged husband beat her, forced her to stay away from her family, and being ‘forced’ into threesomes.

Brown also alleges that Belafonte hired a German exchange student to be their nanny in 2010, and quickly began to pit the two women against each other. She claims that Belafonte, 41, would degrade her in front of the nanny, comparing their looks.

In the spring of 2014, Brown alleges that the nanny and Belafonte announced their pregnancy, and stated that they wanted “all three of us to live together.” Brown says that Belafonte later demanded that the nanny have an abortion, and used Brown’s money to pay for it.
