Sharon Stone has revealed the reason why she wasn’t able to conceive her own children.
The 59-year-old actress is mother to three adopted boys, but recently confessed that an autoimmune disease made it difficult to carry a pregnancy to full term – suffering several miscarriages during her marriage to San Francisco newspaper man Phil Bronstein from 1998 until 2003.
Speaking about her rarely pictured sons Roan, 16, Laird, 12, and Quinn, 10, to Closer, Sharon touchingly revealed that they are the best things to ever happen to her.
“The other day, I asked my son Laird if he knew how much I loved him and he said, ‘Yeah. Because you chose me,'”
“I watch videos from when they were small and am absolutely enthralled by that. But those moments just keep coming.”
“And when times get tough, her sons give her strength. “I think that love is the greatest faith there is and if you stay faithful in your love, then you’re going to be OK,”
Just days earlier the Basic Instinct actress was joined by sons Roan and Laird on the red carpet for her new film A Little Something for Your Birthday premiere.
