Christina Grimmie has been laid to rest in a small, private funeral in New Jersey. The burial for the 22-year-old, who was tragically shot after her concert in Orlando by a deranged gunman, was held on Thursday, and PEOPLE have reported that it “was a private, intimate gathering for her family and close friends.”
Following his sweet offer, it’s confirmed Christina’s coach from The Voice, Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine, paid for the funeral. Christina’s brother told fans of the kind gesture on his Facebook page: “I found out this morning that Adam Levine personally called my mother and said he will pay for her funeral and her plane flight. I was blown away.”
After hundreds mourned her passing in a candlelight vigil, the family have organised a public memorial in New Jersey for fans to pay their respects.
Rest in Peace, Christina.
