She finished her 4th album just 72 hours before turning 30, now Solange Knowles has celebrated her milestone birthday in style, heading off to New Mexico with some of her closest friends.
The mum-of-one turned 30 on June 24 and marked the occasion with a sentimental Instagram post, detailing some of her most important life lessons and major milestones. Included was her teenage pregnancy and birth of her son Daniel Julez Smith, Jr, now 11.
While the marriage to her son’s father, Daniel Smith didn’t last, she found love again with her ‘best friend’ Alan Ferguson ten years later and the couple married when Knowles was 28.
Amongst the highs were also low points, the singer shared of her experience with agoraphobia at 22 and “insane panic attacks”.
Ringing in the new decade, in San Patricio, Knowles and her guests made the most of the warm climate, swimming and eating honey peach and hibiscus lime popsicles.
