We all know the story of true blue Aussie hero Steven Bradbury— the professional skater who made his way into the semi-finals of the short track 1000 metres speed skating event at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games purely because the winner was disqualified. Then, to everyone’s disbelief, the lucky bloke— who was losing by a mile— made it into the finals and literally won a gold medal after all of his components famously crashed.

Funnily enough, his luck hasn’t run out just yet!

Earlier this week, TV Black Box, reported that Bradbury is one of many celebrities rumoured to be joining the cast of Australian Survivor: Champions vs. Contenders, in a list that apparently includes former Brisbane Lions player Simon Black, swimming legend Susie Maroney and Looking For Alabrandi actress Pia Miranda

The unlikely champion, along with his frosted blonde tips, will return to our screens later this year where he’ll be competing against other Australian icons for a $500, 000 prize.

This’ll be a VERY interesting season.
