It could be a case of Viva Forever, if Mel B doesn’t “keep her mouth shut” according to sources close to Geri Halliwell.
During a yet-to-be aired interview for Piers Morgan’s Life Stories, Mel detailed a lesbian fling between herself and “best friend” Geri Halliwell during the height of their Spice Girls fame, jeopardising their upcoming and highly-anticipated tour.
A source close to Geri told The Sun, “This is typical Mel, running her mouth, but Geri is more than a bit miffed.
“Mel messaged the girls to tell them about what she had said after filming the interview, but she didn’t even say sorry. She needs to do some serious grovelling to make up with Geri. This isn’t something she’s going to forget easily.”
Married to Formula 1 mogul Christian Horner and a mother-of-two, Geri, 45, is believed to be furious with Mel, who herself admits, “She’s going to kill me and so is her husband!”
The Sun‘s source continued, “Mel insists it’s true, but Geri says she’s blown it out of all proportion and needs to keep her mouth shut.
“It’s not ideal as rehearsals for the tour begin within weeks and they are going to be spending a lot of time together.”
And fans can be rest assured, thanks to Geri, that the tour will go ahead. “It’s not going to derail the reunion and they’re all still excited about going back out on the road together, but it’s done damage to their personal friendship.”
