What is Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story about?
Focusing on a young Queen Charlotte, A Bridgerton Story portrays the love story between the King and Queen. According to Netflix’s official synopsis, the series is “centred on Queen Charlotte’s rise to prominence and power.” Set in the Bridgerton-verse, the “prequel tells the story of how the young Queen’s marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton,” the synopsis reads on.
Given her headstrong and gossip-loving nature in the present series, we can’t wait to see her younger self take to the screen.
We can also expect to see the relationships between a young Queen, Lady Danbury, and Lady Violet Bridgerton blossom.
Speaking to Variety, Netflix’s head of U.S. and Canada scripted series Peter Friedlander said, “I am glad that you are excited about it. It’s a justified enthusiasm because it is going to live up to your expectations.”
