And whilst for many, the idea is one we daydream about as we stay cramped in economy, for Ana Santos, the leading lady of Prime Video’s new romantic comedy, Upgraded, it’s an opportunity that changes the direction of her life.
What is Upgraded about?
Set against the backdrop of the exclusive art world, Upgraded, starring Camila Mendes and Archie Reauxis, is the latest Romantic Comedy to premiere on Prime Video.
When ambitious intern Ana is upgraded to first class on a work trip to London, she crosses paths with Will, who mistakes Ana for her boss – a white lie that sets off a rapid chain of events.
“I hope [audiences] take away that Ana has a white lie, but it ultimately brings a lot of good things to her life,” Camila shares with WHO.
“You can take away the lesson of ‘don’t lie,’ but you can also take away the lesson that there’s value in faking it till you make it. The energy you put out is also the energy you are going to receive… you’re going to attract a lot of success.”
Who is in the cast of Upgraded?
Riverdale alumni Camila stars opposite British actor Archie Remaux, who has previously appeared in Shadow and Bone and The Other Zoey.
The talented supporting cast includes Marisa Tomei, Lena Olin, Zaorise-Monica Jackson, Anthony Head and Thomas Kretschmann.
“I absolutely adored working with the two of them,” Camila says of her time on set alongside Marisa and Lena. “They both brought so much professionalism but also fun. I had so much fun working with them.”
“I was really blessed to have such great co-stars.”
