The 2019 Coachella lineup has been released

And it's absolute fire!

We’ve all heard of someone who has taken compassionate leave right around the time of Coachella…hmmm, what brilliant timing.

And with this year’s lineup, I’m seriously considering it. Sorry in advance to my boss.

Childish Gambino, Tame Impala and Ariana Grande will be headlining the music festival. I know, unreal. Supporting acts include Khalid, our very own Rufus Du Sol, Billie Eilish, Dillon Francis, CHVRCHES, Ella Mai, Kid Cudi, Jaden Smith, Blackpink, The 1975, Kaytranada, H.E.R and many more. Oh, and did I mention that the best DJ of our generation, FISHER, will also be ‘losing it’ on April the 13th and 20th.

As per usual, the festival is split over two weekends in April and will take place from the 12th to the 14th, then a week later from the 19th to the 21st.

After the lineup came out, Twitter went nuts over the fact that Kanye West did not appear on the lineup. TMZ reported earlier this week that the rapper was unwilling to perform on a traditional 60×40 foot stage as it was “artistically limiting.” Allegedly, festival operator Goldenvoice denied his request to alter the dimensions, resulting in a fallout. To be fair, after his epic Saint Pablo tour which pushed every performance boundary, who could blame him?

If you don’t manage to get your hands on a ticket, don’t worry. I’m sure every influencer under the sun will Instagram story the whole festival from start to finish!

Tickets go on sale Friday, January 4 at 11am Pacific Standard Time (Saturday January 5 at 6am AEST).
