Ladies and gentlemen, it looks like we have our first Bachelor 2020 candidate.
WATCH: Bachelor Australia 2020 applications now open
Meet Dave Pow Tabain— a world champion athlete who just revealed one of the show’s producers contacted him to see if he was interested in handing out the next set of roses!
Taking to Instagram, Dave shared a screenshot of a direct message from Warner Brothers, with a woman by the name of Sarah writing, “We are currently casting for the next series of The Bachelor Australia and searching for the man himself. We were hoping to chat to you about the casting process if you were first of all single? And if you were interested in hearing more at all?”
While the 30-year-old posted the screenshot as a joke, he’s since revealed he wouldn’t say no to trying his hand at love on a reality series.
“I had a bit of a laugh and I don’t watch TV but I’d heard a lot about the Bachelor and I thought it was funny they were hitting me up via Instagram to get me to apply,” he said.
“I wouldn’t downplay the potential it (The Bachelor) has to meet someone that could be the right fit for you, because you never know when you’re going to meet them.
“It could be on the street corner, it could be in your DMs, it could be on a plane, it could be standing in line at a cafe. If you’re going to go on it you have to go all out.”
Considering last year’s disaster of a season, Dave seems like the perfect suitor!
Not only is he a marathon runner and three-time kettlebell world champion, but he’s the best selling author of a children’s book and regularly visits schools and children’s charities in the hope of teaching them how to unleash their inner superhero and overcome bullying.
Yeah, he’s basically a saint!
