While we love to see a couple from The Bachelor Australia franchise make it work on the outside world, there’s always some extra novelty when winning couples stick together, and form friendships.
WATCH: Laura Byrne shares a subtle update on her wedding plans
This seems to be the case with the most recent Bachelor, Jimmy Nicholson, and his winner, Holly Kingston, who have been spending time with season five duo Matty J and Laura Byrne.
The squad were spotted out together in a fancy Sydney restaurant last night at nel. Restaurant, where they enjoyed a nine-course degustation, as well as each other’s’ company.
With all four of the party sharing a pretty joking nature, fans weren’t surprised to see some shenanigans ensue.
A snap of Jimmy and Holly appeared on Laura’s Instagram Story, which she captioned with “these two look a bit familiar …”, adding that she and Matt were living out their “Bachie recap fantasy”.
Jimmy also shared some footage of his fellow Bachie alums, calling them ‘couple goals’. He also showed a video of Matt sucking on Laura’s finger, leading him to grab onto Holly’s finger and suck on it as well as they all laughed.
In further antics, fans could see Matt pretending to be a waiter, and in a snap posted by Holly, Matt and Laura were seen embracing alongside Holly’s caption ‘young love’.
Holly and Jimmy, who ended their 2021 season of the show by beginning a loving relationship, had spoken to Matt and Laura on a few occasions – even appearing on their podcast once Holly was announced as the winner.
The couples are also both based in Bondi, so no doubt run into each other on occasion as well.
The loved-up pairs have gone from strength to strength since their respective finales, putting them among a group of fellow former Bachelors who have gone on to have lasting relationships.
Since their 2017 finale, Matt and Laura have had two daughters together, Marlie-Mae, born in 2019, and Lola, born in 2021.
They’re also engaged, but COVID-19 saw their original wedding date postponed.
While Holly and Jimmy are a newer couple, they moved in together very soon after their finale aired. Both hailed from Bondi originally, making it a no-brainer that they would begin living together.
However, the elusive engagement remains to be seen for the pair, although Jimmy has confirmed it’s coming soon.
“An engagement is on the cards… where and when is for me to know and for you to find out,” he told our sister site, New Idea.
