We were all in hysterics when we were blessed with a clip from this season of The Bachelor showing contestant Abbie Chatfield mistaking Matt Agnew’s profession as an astrophysicist for a star sign.
Their first conversation went a little something like this.
Abbie: What do you do?
Matt: I’m an astrophysicist.
Abbie: OK, I’m a Gemini.
Matt: I’m a Leo.
While the editing made it look like there wasn’t a whole lot going on between her ears (no offence), the devilishly handsome Bachelor has since explained she was pulling our leg!
Appearing on the Kyle & Jackie O breakfast radio program this morning, the 31-year-old was quizzed about their awkward encounter, revealing she’s the biggest jokester we’ll see this season.

“She’s very clever, very witty and loved to wind me up,” the astrophysicist said, to which Kyle replied, “Oh, so she was joking? Here we all are thinking she’s a dumbarse.”
“She knew how to wind me up. You can see based on my reaction it landed particularly well on me and she got the desired effect I think.”
Last week, Matt opened up about his time on the show, reassuring Australia that season seven is going to be different as he chooses someone at the final rose ceremony. So, basically, he’s confirmed he doesn’t pull a Nick Cummins on us!
Asked whether he’d found The One, Matt told The Courier Mail, “Yes, I have. I’m delighted with how the process worked out for me, and I’m very, very happy. I went into it [the show] pretty confident in myself and that I would make the right decision for me.”
Apparently, it takes kissing 17 girls to finally find the woman you want to settle down with! A new teaser trailer for the upcoming season shows Matt pashing, I kid you not, all of the ladies on the show!
Network Ten recently dropped another explosive Bachie trailer which includes a minute-long montage showing the astrophysicist making out with not one, not two, but 17 GIRLS FROM THIS SEASON. I repeat, seventeen lucky ladies.
There’s a pool hookup, a raunchy beach pash which is definitely not PG, a helicopter peck, a veryyy long smooch while watching the sunset and, of course, one or two cocktail party kisses.
I’m just going to leave a few raunchy snaps of Matt doing his thang below so you can really get pumped for this season.
The second half of the trailer shows a huge catfight between a few of the contestants, and we’re even given a glimpse of a very cranky Matt telling one of the ladies vying for his heart to leave the mansion after she calls him a “dog f***er and a disrespectful pig”.
“It’s all starting to sound like bulls— to me. I think it’s best you leave the mansion,” he tells the lady at the centre of the drama.
“For me, tonight’s been a tremendous waste of time. And I’m p—ed off. That’s it,” Matt says to the rest of the women who are watching.
