Despite admitting they’ve both found their perfect match, Matt Agnew and Chelsie McLeod claim their relationship isn’t as perfect as it seems.
Opening up about their budding romance, the loved up couple— who professed their love for one another during last night’s Bachelor finale— told 10 Daily that it’s been difficult keeping their relationship under wraps.
“Not being able to see each other was difficult for both of us,” the astrophysicist, 32, told the outlet. “When you’re having a lousy day, we couldn’t just hang out and have a cuddle and support each other — it was a challenging dynamic.”

Although Matt said they haven’t seen each other a lot since filming for the show wrapped, he did confirm there’s absolutely no truth to rumours that they’re no longer in a relationship. Thankfully, he also revealed he doesn’t chuck a Blake Garvey and dump the chemical engineer for this year’s runner up, Abbie Chatfield.
“I haven’t dumped him,” Chelsie said before Matt revealed: “Nor have I done a Blake Garvey! I’ve heard about a dozen rumours this week, but it’s not a case of where there’s smoke there’s fire — more like where there’s smoke there’s bullsh*t!”
Before The Bachelor finale, word spread that Chelsie had won, with dozens of insiders spreading rumours that their relationship was on the rocks.
“Since the finale, everyone has heard there’s been problem after problem – they were just not seeing eye-to-eye on anything and didn’t have any chemistry. Once the cameras stopped rolling, the sparkle just wore off,” an insider claimed before viewers saw Matt profess his love for Chelsie last night.
With photos recently emerging of Abbie Chatfield jetting off to Matt’s home town, fans who were convinced Chelsie had won also expressed concerns that he’d dumped her.
“Abbie went to Melbourne after the finale [finished filming] and since then she has started to behave really strangely,” the same source said after the photos began circulating online. “She’s secretly confessed to the other girls that she has a man, but she keeps saying that while she wishes she could tell them more she just can’t.”
During the interview, Chelsie also dispelled these claims, admitting “people talk a lot of crap”.
While Matt and Chelsie are loving the outcome, runner up Abbie is struggling immensely.
This morning, Channel 10 forced an already devastated Abbie into a confrontation with Matt and Chelsie after the Network intentionally planned for their interviews to be filmed quite literally metres away from each other.
With one clear glass window separating Abbie from her ex-boyfriend and his current girlfriend, the 23-year-old went into a state of panic when she looked over her shoulder and saw the loved up couple holding hands while being interviewed by Nova 9.69’s Fitzy and Wippa.
“I don’t want to weird you out right now but they are in that studio over there,” Smallzy tells Abbie before she awkwardly responds, “that’s alright.”

However, it’s clear by the look in her eyes she’s far from ok. Unable to look away, the runner up finally turns back to the camera and says, “holy f**k.”
Although Wippa gives her the option to leave the studio, a stoic Abbie bravely soldiers on. But not before she points at the couple and says: “That is the most horrible thing I have ever experienced in my life.”
Matt and Chelsie were also alerted that Abbie was in the studio, with The Bachelor revealing that he spotted Abbie from afar, however swiftly avoided an awkward run-in.
Regardless of whether you like Abbie or not, you can’t help but feel for the property analyst who literally had her heart shattered in front of the entire country. Although it’s been months since filming wrapped, she says she’s still struggling to cope with the fact that the man she once loved is now dating someone else.
She revealed this morning during her interview that she was “absolutely heartbroken” when Matt dumped her.
“I trusted Matt when he told me how he felt about me,” she said.
