Although we’ve only seen a snippet of his first interaction with Angie Kent, Ciarran Stott has already planted himself as a firm favourite on this season of The Bachelorette. However, it appears as though the blonde-haired Englishman isn’t looking for love after all.

Ahead of Wednesday night’s premiere, a source close to the ex-army man told The Daily Mail that he applied for the show after hearing that his ex-girlfriend, Renne Barrett, was going to star on Matt Agnew’s season of The Bachelor.

“As soon as he found out she’d been cast on Matt’s season and was about to start filming, he decided to get on The Bachelorette,” the insider dished.

“Casting producers were aware of this and it definitely helped his cause. His friends are saying he mostly went on to get back at Renee.”

While it’s unclear whether all of this will come to light during the show, we needn’t worry too much seeing as the source said Ciarran doesn’t receive the final rose. While there’ll be no love lost there, we can reveal Angie is STILL with the lucky suitor who wins her heart.

“I’m totally glad I did it. I’ve learnt so much about myself,” she recently revealed.

As for whether she got down on one knee and proposed to the man of her dreams, the former Gogglebox Australia star says that’s definitely not her style!

“I’m not into it [women proposing to men]. I’ve never planned a wedding, even though a lot of girls do when they’re younger. I’ve planned my funeral, which is a bit weird,” she added, rather morbidly.

The juicy goss comes two days after we were introduced to Ciarran, who swept Angie off her feet with his cheeky sense of humour! While Ciarran— who describes himself as “fun, flirty, flamboyant and fabulously British”— definitely made a great first impression, he will have to contend with Angie Kent’s brother, Brad— who is set to go undercover.

Taking notes from Sophie Monk’s season when her father acted as an innocent chauffeur, Brad will enter the mansion pretending to be one of the guys— only to report back to his sister on who he thinks should or should not receive a rose.

“To have that secret insider to tell me what he thought of the guys, the locker room talk. It was a game-changer. I trust my family so much, and he’s such a good judge of character, I was like: ‘Oh, this going to be good’,” Angie told 10 Daily of her brother’s appearance on the show.
