Winner of the 2020 season of The Bachelorette, Pete Mann, has announced he is expecting a baby with partner Rachel Evans.
The business owner took to Instagram to announce the pregnancy, sharing an image of a small pair of R.M. Williams boots, a sonogram picture and an image of their dog, Bowser.
“@rachevans___ and I would like to introduce you to our next child…” he wrote.
“Baby due late March 2022.
“We could not be happier but we’re not sure how the big guy in slide 3 feels… 😬 🐶,” he wrote, referencing Bowser.
Pete is best known as a chosen winner on the 2020 season of The Bachelorette, which ended with him beginning a relationship with co-bachelorette, Becky Miles.
However, in one of the most short-lived relationships in the Bachelor franchise, he called things off three days later.
“We spent about three days together and we had a lovely timeI think that’s why I was quite blindsided when he broke it off because, you know, in those moments he was saying all the right things,” Becky told Now To Love after the finale aired.
“Once we were back home I gave him a little bit of space and then we had a FaceTime call and he just expressed to me that he’d realised that he didn’t really think there was a spark there,” she said.
“I was absolutely devastated.”
Pete confirmed he had taken up with Rachel in December last year, and admitted that the pair had dated casually prior to the show.
“Rach and I are together now for the first time. We had had been seeing each other only casually before the show,” Pete said at the time.
“After filming concluded, we reconnected, and I simply fell head over heels,” he explained.
“We’ve now met each other’s families and will be spending Christmas together, including a secret little getaway.”
Becky has also since moved on, debuting her relationship with James Bevitron around the same time Pete went public with Rachel.
According to The Wash, Becky and James had also briefly dated before Becky left to film the show.
She went Instagram official in February this year, sharing a picture of herself and James.
“I feel understood, appreciated and loved by you and that’s a pretty amazing place to be… Here’s to many more kombi #vanlife adventures with you 😘,” she wrote.
