This year’s The Bachelors has more of everything… more bachelors, more roses, more drama, and more boyfriends. Yep, during last night’s episode, frontrunner Jessica Navin introduced her beau on the outside to her bachelor, Felix Von Hofe, and, let’s just say, the social commentary was mixed.

After the official Bachelor Instagram account posted a screenshot of the moment Felix met Damien for the first time, the comments were alight with opinions.

And a former Bachelorette and Bachelor In Paradise star even got involved.

In a -since deleted comment, Jake Ellis wrote: “This defeats the entire concept 🤯🤦🏽‍♂️.”

Jake was first introduced to The Bachelorette in 2016, on Georgia Love’s season of the franchise. He later went on to appear on Bachelor In Paradise, where he met Megan Marx from Richie Strahan’s season.

After the show, the pair entered an on-and-off again relationship, before eventually going their separate ways.

But Jake wasn’t the only one to take issue with Jess’ open relationship on this year’s Bachelors.

“Why go on the show if you already have a boyfriend? This is cheating!” another user wrote.

“Not the right audience. Not the right show. Horribly scripted garbage,” another added.

While many users were quick to slam Jess, others were more supportive of the reality star and her views on dating.

“Best season by a mile,” one viewer wrote. “Way more modern and keeping up with 2023, old seasons seem so outdated.”

Jess has previously explained to Ten that she went on The Bachelors to “explore (her) sexuality” and consider her options before settling down.

“I was exploring, is this whole relationship, polyamory, for me? Does it align with me? How does it feel? And it’s just a bit funny that I used The Bachelor experience as my way of finding out if this is for me or not.”
