When you’re a top-selling musical artist (or a Kardashian), your personal drama isn’t always personal – it can become the business of everyone in your squad.
On Sunday, Kim Kardashian West Snapchatted video recordings of a phone call where Taylor Swift is allegedly heard approving Kanye West’s “Famous” lyrics: “For all my Southside n—– that know me best / I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex.”
Swift slammed Kimye in an Instagram post responding to the video, writing, “Being falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or played any part of the song is character assassination.”
Since this all played out on social media, it’s been fair game for just about anyone to weigh in on, as well. Let’s review who celebrities are siding with in what may be the most heated debate of our time.
Selena Gomez
Naturally, Swift’s best friend Gomez is #TeamTaylor all the way. She took to Twitter to question why people care about this feud so much when there are bigger issues to worry about.
But Gomez was quickly criticized for not using her own platform to support social causes in America, such as gun control and Black Lives Matter.
One user tweeted to her, “Good question! Why haven’t you or Taylor not said a thing about #BlackLivesMatter or police brutality?”
In a tweet that she later deleted, Gomez replied, “So that means if I hashtag something I save lives? No, I could give two f—s about ‘sides.’ You don’t know what I do.”
Chloë Grace Moretz
Since Moretz previously clashed with Kardashian West over a nude selfie back in March, but has also hinted that she declined an invite to join Swift’s squad, there was no telling which side she would take.
She ended up going for a more neutral approach, condemning “everyone in this industry” for getting swept up in things so “petulant and unimportant.”
Khloé Kardashian
While tweeting along with Sunday night’s episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kardashian was all about her big sister’s defense of her husband.
But it was once Moretz started tweeting that Kardashian really went in.
She responded with two photos with the caption, “Is this the a hole you’re referring to @ChloeGMoretz ???” One picture showed Moretz in a red bikini and the other showed a woman from behind, her bathing suit bottoms pulled down.
But Moretz was quick to set the record straight, tweeting: “Fact check: first photo is me filming my movie Neighbors 2, the second photo is some girl who was wrongfully photographed.”
After being accused of bullying, Kardashian cleared up a few things about her family:
Ruby Rose
One of the people accusing Kardashian of bullying? Swift squad member Ruby Rose.
Hailey Baldwin
Shortly after Kardashian West started posting snippets of West and Swift’s conversation on her Snapchat, Baldwin tweeted out three clapping hand emojis.
While this may seem unrelated (as if people are thinking about anything besides this drama right now), Baldwin is close friends with Kardashian West’s sisters, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner, so it would add up.
Kendall Jenner
Speaking of Kendall Jenner … she actually liked Baldwin’s tweet, which confirms our suspicions.
While Jenner hasn’t shared any thoughts herself, she liked the tweet of another person, who wrote, “The Kardashians/Jenners literally all stand up for each other and it’s beautiful,” and also liked Kardashian West’s original tweet directing her followers to her Snaps.
Martha Hunt
And the squad speaks again! Swift’s pal Martha Hunt (known as Homeslice) in the “Bad Blood” universe) also took to Twitter to stick up for her.
Demi Lovato
Lovato might seem somewhat removed from the situation, but don’t forget that she publicly criticized Swift for making a $250,000 donation to Kesha amid her legal battle with Dr. Luke and Sony Music, writing, “Take something to Capitol Hill or actually speak out about something and then I’ll be impressed.”
While she didn’t tweet anything herself (yet), she did like this one:
Plus, Lovato started following Swift’s ex Calvin Harris last week after he went on a Twitter rant against her – which makes us think Lovato might be #TeamKimye after all.
Zendaya
Zendaya appeared in Swift’s “Bad Blood” music video, so she must be on her side … right? It appears things may have changed, since she liked (and later unliked) two tweets referencing that she left the squad.
Pharrell
Pharrell also reportedly liked a tweet written in support of Kardashian West, but then unliked it once fans took notice.
Diplo
Katy Perry pal Diplo’s feud with Swift is long over now (it began when he tweeted “Someone should make a kickstarter to get taylor swift a booty”), and he’s since called the whole situation “one of the biggest mistakes” of his career.
But, it seems like there may still be a little bit of bad blood there, since he liked this tweet:
Katy Perry
Of course, many fans are waiting with baited breath to hear what Perry has to say about all this, considering her and Swift’s complicated relationship (she was one of the first to stand up for Swift following the 2009 VMAs debacle – though things soon went south). Plus, this is all going down just days after Perry seemed to wade into the Swift-Harris drama.
Shortly after Kardashian West’s Snapchats had nearly broken the Internet, Perry tweeted “#RISE above it all.” Sure, this could be an effort to promote her new single … or it could have a deeper meaning than that.
Camilla Belle
The actress posted a quote about revenge on Instagram, which leads us to believe she’s siding with Kimye on this one.
In case you’ve forgotten, Belle and Swift have a history – it’s belived that Swift slammed her on her 2010 track “Better Than Revenge” for stealing her ex, Joe Jonas. Plus, she was quick to agree with Katy Perry during the infamous VMAs nominations debacle of 2015, in which Swift was nominated for video of the year but Nicki Minaj was not.
Blake Lively and Ryan Renolds
Of course, the couple that cuddles up in romantic photos alongside Swift and her man, Tom Hiddleston, would have her back. Lively and Reynolds both liked Swift’s Instagram post.
Speaking of Hiddleston, we’re curious what he might have to say about the whole matter – but for now, we’ll have to rely on Twitter’s imagination.
Justin Bieber
Ah, the Biebs. While he doesn’t really hang in the same circle as Swift, he did date her best friend, Gomez, for years (and only speaks highly of his ex to this day). He’s not particularly close with the Wests, but has hung out with them before (and was linked to Kourtney Kardashian more than once).
Sunday night, he posted an Instagram video simple saying, “More love. Less hate.”
It could just be a typical late-night inspirational Bieber message … or it could mean a whole lot more. We’ll let you be the judge.
