David Hasselhoff, 63, has popped the question to his girlfriend, Hayley Roberts, 36, during a romantic beachside picnic in Malibu.
The pair met while the Hollywood star was a judge on Britain’s Got Talent.
The Baywatch star told Hello! Magazine: “I had a saying, ‘you don’t get married because you want to live with someone, you get married because you can’t live without them’.
Hayley said she had “no idea” her Romeo was planning to propose: “I thought he was joking at first. He’s asked me before, but it was never for real.
“Then he pulled out the ring. I cried so hard that he didn’t get around to actually asking, ‘Will you marry me?’ until about 10 minutes later,” she said, adding that their 27-year age gap doesn’t bother her.
This will be Hasselhoff’s third marriage.
