She was recently forced to defend herself against body-shamers who accused her of being anorexic, and The Veronica’s Jessica Origliasso is continuing to ignore the hate.
The “In My Blood” singer, 31, proudly flaunted her physique in a selfie shared to Instagram on August 17.
Jessica and her twin Lisa slammed online critics in a June 28 interview with The Fix, airing their frustration over negative comments regarding their bodies.
“Real health doesn’t equate to a number on a scale, it doesn’t equate to one certain body type, it doesn’t equate to healthy people only living a certain lifestyle,” Jess said.
“The most frustrating part of it is just the conversation to be had isn’t the conversation that is being had. The real conversation should be about health.”
The singer detailed her and sister Lisa’s healthy lifestyle, revealing they grow their own organic produce and avoid processed food.
Proving they won’t take trolls lying down, the Veronicas hit back at critics on their Facebook page earlier this month, after a barrage of insults about their figures, with one claiming they were “promoting anorexia.”
“We EAT. We understand that perhaps we are in a minority of people whose frames are naturally smaller than average. But you using us as a billboard of unhealthy eating is 100% incorrect and hurtful,” they wrote. “STOP making assumptions about our health, and STOP the body shaming.”
