The Voice star, Paul Black, has penned a heartbreaking tribute to his baby girl after she was killed by a runaway car.
According to The Sun, the singer was returning home from the playground with his one-year-old daughter, Pearl, and her eight-month old brother on Sunday, when the hand-break on his Range Rover failed.
The tiny tot was flown to hospital from the family’s home in South Wales but was pronounced dead a short while later.
It’s believed that the 49-year-old also suffered serious injuries after trying to use his own body to shield Pearl from the out-of-control vehicle.
The star took to Twitter to share the tragic news, admitting his family-of-four had been “savaged.”
“My life is on hold indefinitely,” he wrote.
“Thank you for all the kind thoughts and messages. I’m a broken man.”
Speaking with the publication, a neighbour told of how the wider community had been rocked by the shocking incident.
“She was such a gorgeous little girl with the most beautiful big brown eyes – it’s heartbreaking,” they said.
“The whole street has been in tears, Pearl was going to be a star like her dad.”
