Despite Gigi posting pictures to social media with messages like “missing you” accompanied by the pair under the covers just a week ago, rumours have surfaced again that Hadid and Malik are on a break.
“Zayn and Gigi did break up, but they can likely get back together tomorrow,” E! News online reports a source as saying. “It’s all very unclear what’s going on between them now. They been having some issues lately that involved communication and getting along.”
Hadid, 21 and Malik, 23, were given the couple moniker ‘Zigi’ from their fans when they stepped out together in public last November.
Hadid has previously dated Joe Jonas and Australian singer Cody Simpson, while Malik broke off an engagement with Little Mix band member Perrie Edwards.
The couple posed for a romantic Italian photoshoot with American Vogue for the April/May Issue this year and the supermodel also posed for her former One Direction beau’s music video ‘Pillowtalk’.
Since whisperings of the split emerged, Gigi has been spending time with friend Kendall Jenner in West Hollywood. The models were deep in conversation on their lunch date on June 1 and also headed out in the Californian sun on June 2 wearing similar outfits.
