Having grown up in the rolling countryside of Tuscany, Italy, Thomas Malucelli is a self-confessed hopeless romantic. “My ultimate dream date would need to involve plenty of food, fun and the sun. Perhaps a day out on a boat and jetski, followed by an Italian meal and nice bottle of wine,” he says. “I love giving massages, so that would be the perfect ending.”
The 35-year-old joins fellow Bachelors Jed McIntosh and Felix Von Hofe in finding love in this year’s season of The Bachelors Australia. And while the restaurant manager admits the experience is “so out of my comfort zone”, the idea excites him.

How do you feel about looking for love alongside other Bachelors this season?
I like the fact that I’m with other bachelors. Hoping that we all have a fantastic camaraderie.
Tell us about your interests and hobbies.
I love anything that is health and fitness related. Love being outdoors – the crazier the adventure, the better. Big fan of adrenaline sports, too. Love motorbikes, ride dirt bikes, etc … Personal development and mindfulness are also a very big part of my life.
Describe yourself in five words.
Loving, open-minded, energetic, optimistic and intuitive.
What’s the biggest obstacle you’ve had to overcome in your life?
Connecting to myself after a break-up.
Have you been in love before?
Yes, it’s the most amazing feeling ever. I’ve been in love before and it was magical. The excitement and wonder of what could be, the mutual discovery, the fantasies and the anticipation of sharing precious moments together. It’s a precious and rare feeling!
When was your last relationship and why did it end?
It ended in 2020, we were together for eight years. We are still best friends. We ended things really well. Unfortunately, we grew apart and became besties more than lovers. At the time I didn’t have the tools to understand what was going on.
Why do you think you’re still single?
I took my time to heal and to discover what I truly wanted in a relationship. I wanted to bring a new me into the next one.
What are you looking for in the perfect partner?
I love beautiful, confident and sexy women that are completely comfortable being feminine. I also love to laugh and have fun, so a great sense of humour is a must!
What would a Bachelorette need to do to get your attention?
She would just need to smile, especially from her eye.
