Yesterday Pixar released the first teaser for ‘Toy Story 4’. But unbeknownst to us, there was more to come.
Today the studio released a second trailer that introduces two more characters into the mix.
Meet Ducky (voiced by Keegan Michael Key) and Bunny (voiced by Jordan Peele)— by far the funniest toys yet.
“Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, who voice Ducky and Bunny, are two of the most brilliant minds I’ve ever seen,” director Josh Cooley said. “Of course, they are effortlessly funny, which would be enough. But they are incredible actors that understand story. Their improvs weren’t just for comedy sake, they were story motivated which elevated Ducky and Bunny and the film to a level I never could have expected.”
Woody’s adventure, led by Forky, includes a visit to a carnival where he runs into Ducky and Bunny, two carnival prizes who are begging to be won. After Woody and his friends interrupt their chat, they wind up “on an unexpected adventure with a group of toys who have no idea what it feels like to be tacked to a prize wall.”
In the teaser, Ducky has no idea ‘Toy Story 4’ is being made.
“Did you see the new movie trailer? You ain’t see it” asked Bunny. “Ducky, they’re making another Toy Story movie!”
Excited, the pair begins to recite Buzz Lightyear’s catchphrase, however, they’re a long way off.
“To infinity and your mom!” one of them says, with the other replying, “No no no, to insanity and a blonde!”
After a few attempts, Woody and Buzz enter saying, “Hey, hey, guys, you got it all wrong.”
“It’s, ‘To infinity and beyond!”
“That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard!” Ducky says. “He don’t know nothin’ about science.”
