Tristan Thompson has upped the ante on his cringe-worthy comments, this time dedicating an entire Instagram post to his ex-girlfriend, Khloe Kardashian.

After the Good American founder won two awards for Best Reality TV Star and Best Reality Show for Keeping Up With the Kardashian at the 2019 People’s Choice Awards, the cheating athlete couldn’t help but obsesses over Koko, telling his 3 million followers that he and their one-year-old daughter True are “so proud” of the woman she’s become.
Eeek, here’s the caption in its entirety:
“Wow wow wow @khloekardashian 👑👑 Congrats Momma Koko on winning best reality star 2019, that’s two years in a row. Two time champ. I love the sound of that. So proud of all you have accomplished this year. Revenge body is something that always stands out to me, you challenge people to fight for a better YOU.
“It’s more about what in life really gives us true happiness and is holding us back from achieving that. True and Myself are so proud of you and the sisters for everything last night. Y’all are truly role models to our younger generation. Keep leading with love and happiness. You go girl!!! *martin voice* ❤️❤️”
Expectedly, fans were a tad uncomfortable with his OTT comments, with thousands on Khloe’s side slamming the basketball player— who cheated on her with Kylie Jenner’s best friend, Jordyn Woods— for his “toxic” and “petty” behaviour.
“Sad you didn’t realise her worth,” one fan said, adding it’s time he leaves her alone and focuses on co-parenting instead. “Hush up Tristan, you were half of the drama in 2019.”
Another weighed in, writing: “Too bad you’re a dog and lost the best thing to ever happen to you! You made your bed so lay in it buddy. You’re a confused man who needs help.”
“Where was that same energy when Jordyn was sitting on your lap,” a different and undeniably savage user added.
On the flip side, a few people praised the 28-year-old— who’s been branded “Tristan third trimester Thompson”— for trying to be nice.
“Nothing wrong with being positive towards the person that gave you a daughter,” one fan of the star wrote. “People, stop being so hateful. Koko is a great person and she deserves for him to treat her this way.”
“He’s just supporting the mother of his child.”
As we know, Tristan has done everything in his power to win her back. He relocated to move closer to Khloe’s Calabasas mansion, he tried to kiss her at their daughter’s birthday party, he left a bunch of cute messages on her Instagram photos, and he even gifted her with a huge diamond ring. In spite of all his efforts, Khloe has no plans to reconnect with him, revealing on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast in October that she has little interest in dating anyone right now.
“I haven’t jumped into dating,” she mum admitted. “I don’t care to date right now. I’m not in a rush for it. I feel so good in my life and I don’t really need much else. So, something that I’m focusing on is just making sure that I process everything.”
“I think, especially in my family, we’re good at moving on. We have very big forgiving hearts. We just move on, but we don’t really talk about things that happened, and I don’t really know if that’s healthy or not.
During the interview, Khloe also opened up about co-parenting with Tristan, admitting she looks to her mum, Kris Jenner for advice. As we know, Kris co-parented with her late father, Robert Kardashian.
“Oh, it’s hard. It’s not easy for me,” she dished. “You know, it would be easier for me to keep my daughter away…but he never hurt True. Him and I have our own relationship and then Tristan and True have theirs, and I will never come in between that. I don’t believe in that.”
Remaining civil and composed, Khloe admitted that despite Tristan’s shady behaviour—which she says she will never be able to forget— she has decided to forgive him for the sake of bettering her family.
“I think we all make mistakes, we’re humans. But it’s only going to hurt me if I’m holding on to this anger and playing this victim role. I don’t believe in being a victim. I just feel like we’re all so quick to exile people, and it’s just so heavy to me.”
“I want to show my daughter it’s OK and it’s a beautiful thing to also forgive her dad. He’s a great person. Maybe him and I weren’t compatible in that way, but that’s OK.”
