After Tristan Thompson was caught cheating with Jordyn Woods just hours before his then-girlfriend Khloe Kardashian was due to give birth, the reality TV star has maintained she will never rekindle her romance with the NBA player.

But, as we know all too well, that hasn’t stopped him from trying!
Recently he’s upped the ante on his quest to win her over, with a source close to the Good American founder revealing their plans to spend the holiday season together for the sake of their daughter has already muddied the waters.
Yep, Tristan is convinced this is his chance to shoot his shot!
“It’s hard not to admire Khloe,” the insider told PEOPLE of Tristan’s mindset. “She decided that she was going to be in a good place with Tristan, because of True and she really is. She refuses to be bitter and dwell on the past.”
They continued: “Tristan still tries to date her, but she doesn’t seem interested. She seems very happy the way things are. She loves just being a mom and focusing on work.”
As we know, Tristan is still very much in love with his ex. He recently relocated to move closer to Khloe’s Calabasas mansion, tried to kiss her at their daughter’s birthday party, left a bunch of cute messages on her Instagram photos, and even gifted her with a huge diamond ring. However, in spite of all his efforts, Khloe said she’s done with the drama, revealing on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast that she has little interest in dating anyone right now.
“I haven’t jumped into dating,” she said during the recording in November. “I don’t care to date right now. I’m not in a rush for it. I feel so good in my life and I don’t really need much else. So, something that I’m focusing on is just making sure that I process everything.”
“I think, especially in my family, we’re good at moving on. We have very big forgiving hearts. We just move on, but we don’t really talk about things that happened, and I don’t really know if that’s healthy or not.”
Last week, after Khloe won Best Reality TV Star at the 2019 People’s Choice Awards, Tristan upped the ante on his cringe-worthy comments when he dedicated an entire Instagram post to his ex.
“Wow wow wow @khloekardashian 👑👑 Congrats Momma Koko on winning best reality star 2019, that’s two years in a row. Two time champ. I love the sound of that. So proud of all you have accomplished this year,” he began. “It’s more about what in life really gives us true happiness and is holding us back from achieving that. True and Myself are so proud of you and the sisters for everything last night. Y’all are truly role models to our younger generation. Keep leading with love and happiness. You go girl!!! *martin voice* ❤️❤️”
Expectedly, fans were a little uncomfortable with his comments, and so was Khloe! Hours later, she reassured fans she was over him by throwing a little shade his way in a cryptic Instagram Story.
“Not all toxic people are cruel and uncaring. Some of them love us dearly,” she wrote, seemingly referring to the cheating athlete’s newfound love for her. “But they are toxic to our being simply because their needs and way of existing in the world force us to compromise ourselves and our happiness.”
