Former Ready Steady Cook star Matt Golinski and his fianceé Erin Yarwood have welcomed their first child together.
The TV chef’s father Keith Golinsk spoke to ABC Sunshine Coast and confirmed that Golinski and Yarwood are now proud parents to their daughter who was born on August 16.
The exciting event offers Golinski and his family some happy news nearly six years after a Boxing Day 2011 house fire which killed his wife and three children and left the star with critical burns.
Keith Golinski said so many people had shared Matt’s pain when he lost his wife Rachael and three daughters Sage, Willow and Starlia, and was severely injured in the house fire at his Tewantin home. “People deserve to share some of the joy as well,” he told the station.
The new grandfather said he was yet to see his new granddaughter, but was excited to share that his son told him she had “Mum’s dark hair and the Golinski dimples”.
“I’m still in a state of unbelief, it is such good news,” he said.
Golinski announced his engagement the Sunshine Coast fitness trainer last month.
The happy couple first met as friends when Matt was recovering from his extensive burns in hospital.
Both parents are yet to share a snap of their newborn.
