The Vivid light and music festival has introduced some beautiful giant animal lanterns at Taronga Zoo to celebrate the park’s 100th birthday.

The giant, brightly coloured animals, feature moving parts, interactive lighting and sound effects. Vivid 2016 will also use some of the zoo’s more famous buildings for the huge projections it is so well known for.

This is the first time Vivid has crossed the Harbour Bridge, taking the festivities to Taronga Zoo.

Sydney’s Vivid 2016 festival kicks off on the May 27 and finishes on June 18.
