The Bachelor contestants played a heated game of Australian Rules football as part of their group date on Wednesday’s episode of the Channel ten dating show.

Throughout the match, temporary-referee Matt appeared to be warning contestant Mary Viturino she was playing too “aggressively” and threatened to send her to the “sin bin.”

“Mary, far too aggressive! I’m going to put you in the sin bin if you keep playing like that!” the handsome astrophysicist said, and later told the producers, “Mary’s bowled someone over. She’s gotta get binned for that!”

While watching the moment, Waleed couldn’t help but point out the Bachelor’s mistake.

“There’s no sin bin in [AFL] footy. What the hell was that about?” the avid Richmond Tigers follower noted.

“Some things are sacred, like the rules of footy!”

The Australian TV host made a strong case – the sin bin definitely doesn’t exist in AFL.

Viewers can rest assured that Waleed knows what he’s talking about, as he has been consulted by the AFL on how to improve the game.

Last year, AFL spokesman Patrick Keane told the Herald Sun that the Logie-winner attended one-off meetings with AFL boss Steve Hocking where he was asked for his opinion about the game, alongside Gerard Whateley and AFL icon Malcolm Blight.

At the time, the AFL was interested in altering the rules to increase the free-flowing nature of the game after fans were concerned about on-field congestion.

With all this in mind, perhaps Waleed should’ve refereed the group date.
