When Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian joined forces to plan a combined birthday party for their daughters’ Penelope Disick and North West, they should have anticipated some sort of conflict.
But who knew it would be about candy.
In a clip for the upcoming season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim and Khloe Kardashian expressed their shock when they found processed sweets in Kourtney’s house.
“Call the police,” Kim jokes, in the first look clip from season 17 of the reality television show. “There’s candy in here!”
Fans of Kourtney know that she leads a healthy lifestyle that is sans processed food. She quickly lets her sisters know that the candy came from their mum Kris Jenner and that it is her “only hidden stash of candy”.
This is what leads Kim and Kourtney to discuss the ‘Candyland’ themed birthday party they’re organising for Penelope and North.
“There’s no reason that you can’t have the theme of the party and have treats that are…” Kourtney says before Kim cuts her off, anticipating the health-food lecture she is about to receive.
“It’s Candyland,” says KKW Beauty founder. “It’s a Candyland-themed party! That’s, like, what the party is about,” she continues. “It’s not f–king Gluten Free Land over here.”
Not impressed with Kim’s unwillingness to budge, The Poosh website founder suggests they throw separate parties for the girls.
“Perfect,” Kim responds. “That’s exactly what we’ll do.”
As we now know, the sisters must have worked out their issues because the ‘Candyland’ themed party went ahead – seemingly without a hitch.
It’s one of many arguments Kourtney has been getting into with her sisters lately.
Just recently, the eldest Kardashian sister was in a tense argument with Kylie Jenner, over her close friendship with Sofia Richie.
Recently, we’ve been seeing Sofia Richie’s face plastered all over Kylie Jenner’s Instagram. And while most of us are happy that Scott Disick’s girlfriend is getting along with makeup mogul, according to a source, Kourtney Kardashian is furious that the pair are socialising.
“The way Kylie tells it, Sofia deserves a chance and it’s not right that Kourt keeps causing drama for her and Scott,” the source said, adding that Kourtney believes the Kylie Cosmetics founder is betraying her trust by socialising with her ex-boyfriend’s girlfriend of two years.
“This is going to get ugly really soon,” the source continued. “Kourtney expects unconditional loyalty from her sisters.”
The KUWTK star’s anger is in response to a series of videos Kylie uploaded to her Instagram showing her sister Kendall Jenner and Sofia celebrating their close friend Tiffany Sorya’s birthday on June 22. Dressed up for the 70’s theme, the Kylie Skin founder posted videos of them getting ready, including a snippet of Sofia dancing in a silver bra.

Sofia has also joined Kylie on her Kylie Cosmetics summer girls trip to Turks and Caicos, regardless of Kourtney’s issues.
Despite Kourtney’s concerns, it’s been reported that she is on board with Scott dating Sofia.
“She just wants Scott to be happy and she is proud of him for turning his life around. Sofia is young but Kourtney knows that what they have is special,” an insider told Radar Online.
The news comes after Kris Jenner saw a photo Scott posted to Instagram of her daughter vacationing with the couple in Mexico. Confused as to why she joined the pair on their romantic holiday, Kris queried whether Kourtney was still in love with Scott in a recent episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
“Kourtney, Scott and Sofia on vacation together. What is happening?” she asked her daughter Kim Kardashian. “She has a lot of trips with the kids. She can pick up and go to Mexico any day of the week. My fear is that she can’t make up her mind. She can’t pick a paint colour! That takes months.”
Agreeing with her mum, Khloe Kardashian, who was also sitting with the pair added, “She [Kourntey] doesn’t know what the f**k she wants.”
Although Kourtney and Scott called it quits over four years ago, they’ve remained close friends and focus on co-parenting their three children, Mason, 9, Penelope, 6, and Reign, 4.
