Fallout Fans Are Losing Their Collective Minds Over The First Teaser Trailer

And we don’t blame them.

Video game fans and post-apocalyptic viewers alike are being treated – yet again – to a TV adaptation of one of the best-selling global video game franchises, Fallout.

Set in the future post-apocalyptic Los Angeles and the world of Fallout, the series is an original story based on Fallout that will be part of the canon of the games.

And, given the success of fellow video-game-turned-TV-series, The Last of Us, which premiered in 2023, we suspect this series is going to be a hit.

So, if you’re wondering where to watch the Fallout series, as well as who has been cast and the character they’re tied to, then keep reading.

What is Fallout about?

Based on one of the greatest video game series of all time, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have.

Set 200 years after the apocalypse, “the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind — and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird and highly violent universe waiting for them,” or so the synopsis reads.

Basically, if you loved The Last of Us – and didn’t we all? – you’re almost certain to love Fallout. But in case you needed more convincing, here’s what some fans had to say after seeing the teaser trailer.

“That sound design on the transition of the post-nuclear events to the explosions with the reverend 50s music… horrifying, beautiful, suspenseful, I’m covered in goosebumps. I really hope this lands,” one wrote.

“I can’t believe I had tears in my eyes from this because of how promising that looks, the Fallout series was my absolute favourite,” said another.

A third said: “I really like the colours in the trailer, the combination of both vibrant and dull makes it feel like a good mix between the older and newer games styles.”
