Four fashion legends of the 90s reunite for an all-new docu-series

In the ‘80s, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, and Christy Turlington were – and arguably still are – the it girls of fashion.

Surpassing the term model, these supermodels became total fashion icons — before transcending their industry by appearing as a group on runways around the world.

Now, they’re reuniting once more for Apple TV+’s new documentary event, The Super Models, which spotlights the remarkable careers of the four women.

The four-part series also tells the story of how Naomi, Cindy, Linda and Christy claimed their power and shaped the world that followed.

In turn, revealing “how they dominated the elite modelling world while illuminating a bond that single-handedly shifted the power dynamic of an entire industry,” as per Apple TV+.

What is The Super Models about?

In a press release, Apple TV+ said the documentary series, “travels back to the 1980s, when four women from different corners of the world united in New York. Already forces in their own right, the gravitas they achieved by coming together transcended the industry itself.

“Their prestige was so extraordinary that it enabled the four to supersede the brands they showcased, making the names Naomi, Cindy, Linda and Christy as prominent as the designers who styled them. Today, the four supermodels remain on the frontlines of culture through activism, philanthropy and business prowess.

“As the fashion industry continues to redefine itself – and women’s roles within it – this is the ultimate story of power and how four women came together to claim it, paving the way for those to follow.”

Who is cast in The Super Models?

As previously mentioned, the highly anticipated series features exclusive access to iconic supermodels Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington.

The executive producers of The Super Models are Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Sara Bernstein, Justin Wilkes, Barbara Kopple, Roger Ross Williams and Geoff Martz.

Naomi, Cindy, Linda and Christy also serve as executive producers.
