Days after posting a cryptic paparazzi shot that features them lip-locked on the beach, bikini designer Noni Janur tells WHO it was no accident she shared it on Valentine’s Day.
“I don’t really like to publicise who I’m dating or even if I’m dating someone,” Janur writes in an e-mail from her self-proclaimed “island home” of Bali, “as everyone gets too involved in the ‘love story’. But I felt like posting the photo, so I did.”
Fans speculated the duo, who were unsuccessful in their stints on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, respectively, have been playing up their union for the cameras in a kind of “showmance” to drum up publicity. But Janur tells WHO she and Johnston actually “met just before I moved to Sydney from the Gold Coast. It was through the show that we started talking.”
Not long after, she reveals, “he asked me on a date and it all kind of started from there.”
As for that ‘couples’ photo? “It’s not the first time he’s been on my social media. Sam and I go everywhere together. I’m surprised people have only caught on now.”
