Everything you need to know about Love Island’s latest villamate, Jaxon

We can see why he gets his kit off for a living, but what's with the Kmart obsession?
Why go on the show?
To hopefully find love. I’ve been typecast into a guy who wants a one night stand because of my job as a male entertainer. And they can’t see the outside where I work with kids with disabilities, so I get judged all the time.

How have your family reacted?
My mom says to me, do not bring home a psycho girl at Christmas. She wants someone that’s authentic and real. Because I would love to find a girl who loves Kmart, and loves to go for a shop at Kmart.

What are you looking for?
Lookswise, nothing too fake. I like it very plain Jane simple. Someone who’s not into brands. Again, I shop at Kmart. A girl that loves a flanny and a leather jacket, and that’s not afraid to go out of the house not wearing makeup. With regards to personality, that’s pretty much a must. I say to myself, when you turn the lights off, that’s when you really get to know someone. Someone I can have a conversation with. And no insecurities.

Are you going to reveal your profession on the island?
Look, if someone asks, I don’t lie. I’m so honest. I’m so authentic where, if someone says to me, what brand of clothing do you wear, I won’t be afraid to say, OK, I shop at Kmart. Even though the looks I’m going to get. I love my flannies. I love my trackies. I don’t care, I’ll rock out in the house with trackies and a flanny. Why should I change for someone? So, if someone asks,  I will say, but I would explain to them, don’t judge me for my job. I’m me. Please don’t judge me for my job. You know?

Love Island's Jaxon

How far are you prepared to go on camera, knowing that the whole country is watching?
I’m not going to have sex. That’s a no. I am … I spoke to Mum. I skyped her yesterday for like an hour. Because my mum and I are really close. But she’s like, ‘I do not want to see any sheets moving up and down. You need to keep your genitals in your pants.’ I said, ‘Mum, I know that.’ Not matter what, that’s one lady I’m always afraid of.

How do you think you’ll handle the social media reaction?
Look, I’m quite known on social media now. I’ve got over 50K following. I’ve only had my social media for a year and a half. So, I’ve posted 36 photos, or 39 photos. I’m more the type of person to use my eyes, not the camera. I love to watch things, rather than take photos. I’m more like, ‘Oh my God. You’re looking at a waterfall.’ A waterfall is constantly moving. You can’t take a still photo of that. So it’s that. Does that make sense?

How will you handle if you get close to some of the guys in there and it turns out you both like the same girl?
My sort of saying is, if it’s a bromance, a real bromance, I call it bros before hos. So, I love my boys. I do, because realistically, in the end, your mates are going to be there for you. I’m not saying … If you completely love her, that is a different story. But, if you decide to have a bromance on the show, the guys should respect you for your decision. Not backstab you. If you’re authentic, you shouldn’t be doing that. If you’re both authentic, you won’t be going for the same girl. That’s what I say.

And where do you want to be in five years?
Successful. The question I ask is, how long’s a piece of string? Or how deep is the ocean? No one knows. So, my success is how hard I can push myself. Because the person that is weighing you down is yourself only. So, how I can run a successful business is by dealing with my problems, pushing through them. Because it’s going to weigh me down.

Do you want marriage and kids, all of that stuff?
I would love to be married. I would love to have kids. I can’t say if it’s going to happen, because of what’s happened in the past. But we’ll see what happens. Because I work with kids. I love them completely.
