Wilmer Valderrama burst onto our scenes as Fez on That 70s Show, but now the star has moved on up as he lands a role on crime drama NCIS.
Valderrama joins the US show in season 14 and will play Special Agent Nick Torres.
“I parachuted onto a runaway train (NCIS) and it’s not stopping for anyone,” Valderrama tells TV Guide. “It’s successful, people love it, and that to me is refreshing.”
Torres becomes a part of the NCIS team, headed by Leroy Gibbs (Mark Harmon) after being an undercover operative for just under a decade.
Valderrama has opened up about the new gig and noted he has enjoyed working alongside Harmon, who has worked on the hit show since the very first season.
“Mark and I make a great team,” the 37-year-old actor says.
“Most of our scenes are together and it has been amazing. We challenge each other, we push each other to be great. We are trying to take the show to different places. We’re trying to expand the universe of NCIS.”
NCIS airs on Channel Ten Tuesdays 8.30pm.
