EXCLUSIVE: Your favourite ‘Neighbours’ star has his sights set on Hollywood

He's determined to make it big!

Fans were devastated when Sam Webb’s character on Neighbours was presumed dead. However, to everyone’s shock, his appeared as Manix Foster on last night’s episode of the hit series. 

“It was so great to be back on set,” he told WHO. “It feels like I never left. I was so comfortable there and everyone was so welcoming. As far as my character is concerned, I think there is potential to for him to return again!”

While the former ‘Australian Survivor’ contestant said he loves appearing on Australian television, he has his sights set on big things and is hoping to crack Hollywood in the next five years. 

“I see myself there. I am working on my craft so hard and when I am not on set I am at acting classes and working on my American accent,” he says. “I respect this industry so much and I am willing to put as much time and effort into it as I possibly can to make it big. If LA is supposed to happen, then I will work my arse off to get there.” 

In between acting gigs, Sam focuses on LIVIN, a mental health awareness charity he founded with Casey Lyons after his best friend died by suicide in 2013.

“I co-founded it after my good friend passed away,” he told WHO. “It is all about breaking the stigma and I am very passionate about it.” 

Sam, who is very open about his struggles with mental illness, believes that honesty and speaking out is the best way to help solve problems. 

“I feel that everyone has their own responsibility to get well … we are doing our very best to empower people to see that they have help and they can help themselves,” he told The Daily Telegraph.
