Sam’s shock engagement news was revealed on Facebook just hours after the finale aired, with his new fiancee Katelen Cunningham posting a happy snap of her shiny engagement ring on her personal page.
She also updated her relationship status to reflect that she is now engaged to Sam.
It appears Katelen is also a mother, with a young boy visible in many of her Facebook photos.
There are also several happy snaps featuring Sam, Katelen and what appears to be her son, enjoying some family time together.
In the comments section on Katelen’s Facebook announcement, the couple’s loved ones congratulated them on their happy news.
“Thanks for making her the happiest I’ve ever seen her Sam. She’s a bit spesh this one,” one friend wrote, to which Sam replied, “No problem! She is very special and amazing so proud to have her.”
Sam is yet to comment on his public Instagram account with news of his surprise engagement.
Only two out of the five farmers this season managed to find love on the show.
Farmer Neil Seaman and his chosen woman Justine Adams are still going strong, as are Alex Taylor and his girlfriend Henrietta Moore.
Farmer Alex "pulled a Blake Garvey" during the show's finale episode, dumping his winner Jess Wolfe after realising the pair were better off as just friends, before reconnecting with Henrietta.
