According to Daily Mail, Rosie put in an application for a "restraining ex parte temporary domestic protection order" at Port Vila Magistrates Court on January 21. The news site reports his estranged wife's request was granted immediately and remains in place.
A courthouse employee made an official statement to the publication which read: "The court received the application from the complainant and the application was assisted by the police."
"Police assisted Ms Jacobs in filing an application for a family protection order."
Steve is to stay up to 100 away from Rosie as per the legal agreement.
This comes after the two moved to Vanuatu mid-last year with their two children.
Friends of the pair revealed their union was in a rough place even before their move overseas.
"I think there were a few people who sensed something was up when they moved to Vanuatu," a friend said.
"The sea change was basically a last-ditch attempt to make things work, but it wasn't to be, unfortunately."
Steve and Rosie are yet to respond to these reports.
