An Australian-British co-production, this eight-part drama follows pianist Lucky Flynn (Tim Minchin) and teenager Meg (Milly Alcock) whose paths cross in the middle of the Australian desert. Together they travel cross-country, with Lucky's piano in tow, in a quest to reach Lucky's mother before she passes away.

Frances O'Connor plays Dr Kate Brennan, who is opposed to euthanasia, while her mother (Harriet Walter) is vocal about her own right to die on her own terms.
