During the interview, George revealed how the two met and it sounds straight out of a fairy tale!
“Well, it's funny she came to the house in Como with a friend of hers to visit and immediately I was like…” explained a smitten George, who admitted that his agent expected the two would hit it off!
“The funniest thing is Bryan Lourd my agent called me, he had just met Amal at some other thing and she was like, ‘Yeah I am going to go to Como with a friend of mine,’ and he called me up and he said, ‘There's a girl coming to your house that you are going to marry.’”
“I was like, ‘You're an idiot. You know that's not going to happen,"'

“And then in comes Amal and we stayed up all night talking and I started writing her a bunch of letters,” continued the happily married actor.
Drew couldn't contain her awe at the details of the romantic story, confirming if the letters were on “pen and paper.”
‘Yep,” George replied, before admitting that the couple “still write letters” and “leave them on the pillow” for each other.

The couple recently celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary and revealed in an interview that they “had never had an argument.”
George and Amal also opened up about how they teach their kids about empathy and kindness telling E! News, "kids are just going to learn from what they see rather than us lecturing him. And hopefully, we'll set a good example. That's all we're aiming for."
"Sometimes you have to bribe them, hopefully, less so as they get older," Amal cheekily added.
