George Michael's boyfriend reveals details of the singer's stint in Byron Bay rehab facility
Fadi Fawaz, the long-term partner of late singer George Michael has discussed his stay in Australia as the singer underwent rehab and revealed it was challenging - however, he appreciated their time together.
At the beginning of 2013, Michael visited Byron Bay to stay at a $46,000 per week rehabilitation clinic called Sanctuary for a duration of two months, with Fawaz by his side.
Taking to Twitter, Fawaz retweeted a friends message which read that it was a 'rough patch', but despite the challenges, he cherished them and would remember them forever.
On January 15, Fawaz wrote: 'September 2011 till December 2016 best years of my life. I will always forever miss you. Xxx.'
At age 53, Michael was found dead by the Queensland-born lover on Christmas Day 2016.
