Gigi added that because of the current pandemic, she felt her pregnancy was "not really something" that she needs to share, apart from with family and friends.
"Obviously a lot of people have lost lives due to coronavirus — that was in the beginning of quarantine and still happening - and then we moved obviously into the reemergence of the BLM movement, and I thought that our presence on social media should be used for that."
The model added that despite this, she's been taking a lot of pictures of her bump and documenting the pregnancy but wants to experience everything without worrying about being in the public eye.
"I just don't want to worry about waking up every day during my pregnancy and, like, worry about having to like look cute or post something,"
The celebrity mum-to-be finally revealed that she only wants to wear loose-fitting clothes and showed a peek of her belly with her linen shirt unbuttoned.
"There's my belly, y'all," she said, flashing a peace sign adding, "Like, it's there."
Earlier this month, Gigi said that she is not necessarily trying to "disguise" her growing belly with baggier clothing, and added that she will be "proud and happy" to share more details about her pregnancy "when I feel like it."
According to Gigi's mum Yolanda Hadid, her due date is in September and is rumoured to be a baby girl.
Speaking to Jimmy Fallon back in April when she confirmed her baby news Gigi admitted that the "silver lining" of being pregnant during the pandemic was that she and her loved ones can "be home and together and really experience it day by day."
